电影《我的老兵爷爷》讲述了一个参加过莱芜战役的老兵的故事。年事已高且身患老年痴呆症的老兵亓长福，接到当年一个老战友的电话，却没能想起这位老战友是谁。他突然意识到自己的病情严重，很有可能逐渐忘记那些最为熟悉的面孔。于是，他决定去寻找当年一起出生入死的战友，在病情加重之前见一见他们。经历家人的重重阻挠，老人终于带着自己的孙子亓子豪踏上了寻找战友之路。电影从爷孙两代人的角度出发，追忆战争年代的战友情。。Charlie talks wealthy farmer's daughter Tillie into eloping with him (and taking her father's money).
