故事发生的背景是抗日战争时期的山东省某偏远山村，邱云鹤饰演的主人公栓子家中世代以打猎为生，战火蔓延到这个偏远的小山村，为了国仇家恨，他和他的小叔铜锁(邹笨笨饰)投入了这场保家卫国的战争。。This experimental work begins with director's rehearsing his new film Ecstasy Garden. Mekong Hotel shot during the flood, intertwines the destruction, politics and drifting dream of future.。袁与四明和尚是从小一起长大的好兄弟，长大出师后袁离开佛寺回家，而四明则在庙中修行。但四明由于被人陷害而让人抓住把柄相威胁，于是被迫盗绿玉佛及杀人。袁的家人被陷害四明的一帮恶人所害死，四明也参与其中。最后袁与四明拼死一战，四明内心有愧终不忍下杀手，于是被袁得报家仇。。
